Senior Finance Manager – Real Estate Investment (Build to Rent)

£70,000 – £80,000

An established and growing real estate investment manager, with a strong track record in the UK Living sector, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join their London-based team. With a portfolio valued in excess of £2bn across the multifamily and single-family BTR sectors, they are entering an exciting new phase of growth across both existing and new platforms.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will act as a key business partner across investment, operations, and investor relations. The Senior Finance Manager will be pivotal in ensuring robust financial control, supporting transactions, and enhancing operational performance across a complex portfolio of institutional-grade assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial operations across a range of operational real estate assets, including oversight of property manager accounting, treasury, and payroll
  • Manage outsourced fund accounting and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Support quarterly valuations and liaise closely with the investment team
  • Drive annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including KPI and performance reporting
  • Oversee audit processes and ensure adherence to governance and compliance requirements
  • Support real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, and manage associated financial due diligence
  • Manage debt compliance, treasury forecasting and maintain strong banking relationships
  • Act as a key point of contact for equity investors, assisting with reporting, drawdowns, and funding requests
  • Contribute to commercial negotiations with suppliers and advisers
  • Support the ongoing digital transformation of finance systems and reporting processes

Skills

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CA or equivalent)
  • Strong real estate investment finance background, ideally within the Living sector
  • Experience across financial control, transactions, tax, and treasury
  • Proven track record in business partnering and stakeholder engagement
  • Confident, proactive, and commercially minded, with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Exposure to operational finance or property management functions is highly desirable
  • Experience managing junior team members would be advantageous
