Retained search – CFO, listed Long Income UK Real Estate fund

Jilani was retained on a search for an Asia head quartered Asset Management group that was launching a UK main market listed, long income Real Estate fund.
The CFO would be the first executive hire in London, reporting to the CEO in Singapore, and would hold responsibility for capital raising, investor relations and successful listing of the fund, as well as finance, FCA compliance, HR, marketing and IT.
We began with a research campaign to produce a matrix map of talent across the asset and investment management; property; and investment banking sectors. A detailed compensation report and analysis of competitor organisational structures was provided alongside our long list.
The next phase was a targeted headhunting campaign alongside a co branded advertising campaign. Key deliverables included presenting the client organisation and brand to the market, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and detailed reporting back to the client.
Our shortlist profiled candidates on career history, fit for the organisation and viability. Additionally we provided detailed behavioural and competency assessments as well as psychometric.
Following an eight week process, a candidate was selected. Strand Hill then advised the client on remuneration and structure of the compensation package offered. We managed the offer negotiation and, once accepted, created an on boarding plan for the client.
