A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Fund Controller to join its dynamic team supporting two global funds of funds. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and operations within a world-class real estate investment platform.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with portfolio management, legal, tax, and external service providers across multiple international offices, including Boston, Singapore, Amsterdam, and London. You’ll play a key role in financial reporting, investment valuation, performance analysis, and fund operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review financial reporting prepared by third-party administrators, including NAV and dividend calculations.
- Support investment valuation processes and prepare materials for pricing committees.
- Calculate fund performance and performance-related fees.
- Prepare quarterly investor reports and assist with annual IFRS audits.
- Present financial information at board and oversight committee meetings.
- Manage fund liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and credit facility utilisation.
- Support multi-jurisdictional tax compliance.
- Conduct financial due diligence on new investments and operating partners.
- Support client services with investor queries and RFP responses.
- Analyse fund costs and prepare total expense ratio calculations.
- Maintain accurate records of AUM, transactions, and reconciliations.
- Ensure robust financial controls and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Key Skills
- ACA / ACCA qualified with up to 3 years’ PQE.
- Experience from a Big Four or top-tier accountancy firm preferred; real estate or private equity fund experience advantageous.
- Strong technical accounting, financial control, and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and high attention to detail.
- Proactive, well-organised, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a professional approach.
