Management Accountant
Salary: £50,000/yr - £60,000/yr + Bonus
Title: Fund / Management Accountant
Strand Hill is currently partnered with a leading UK investor, developer and asset manager of small box logistics assets with over £500M AUM. The business is currently in a large growth phase, having recently secured additional investor funding that it plans to deploy over the next few years.
As such they are looking to onboard a Fund / Management Accountant into the team, reporting directly into the Finance Manager. This is a broad role responsible for the delivery of management accounts, financial statements and partnering with development and asset management to monitor budget vs actuals and forecast rental growth.
The successful candidate will be a finalist or recently qualified accountant, with property or fund experience, that is looking to make their next step in a high growth and lean team with a broad remit.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic management accounts and periodic management information
- Preparation of audited financial statements for the Group using accounts preparation software.
- Assisting development and asset management with financial analysis across the portfolio
- Taking full ownership of the accounting for construction projects owned or managed by the Group
- VAT / CIS returns and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure that returns from external property managers are correct and in accordance with current leasing arrangements
Key requirements
- Finalist or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience of statutory accounts preparation
- Good proven technical understanding of FRS102
- Real Estate experience is highly beneficial
- Good communicator, with the ability to work with non-financial stakeholders
