A private equity backed multi-let industrial property company is looking for a Real Estate Finance
The company owns and operates a diversified portfolio of purpose built multi-let industrial properties across the UK and manages c110 industrial estates with over 2,000 tenancies. Following its recent buyout by a leading private equity firm, the business has significant growth ambitions along with capital available to invest in rapidly increasing the size of its portfolio.
The successful candidate will work in the debt team, reporting to the Head of Capital Markets . The role will focus on the delivery of new debt to support acquisitions together with the management of existing debt facilities and refinancing transactions.
You will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders from across the business, as well as investors and lenders. The role will also work closely with the Finance, Asset Management and the Investment Team as well as directly with the Capital Markets Team.
Responsibilities
- Structure and execute the financing strategy, producing funding plans on a short and long-term basis
- Prepare and present credit memos and cashflows to support new debt/refinancings
- Structure and negotiate loan facilities and documentation to ensure the business has the flexibility to deliver against its business plan
- Lead and coordinate transaction due-diligence and executions with lenders and legal advisors
- Ongoing relationship management of lenders and takeholders to ensure the smooth running of loans
- Support the finance team to manage overall liquidity and drawdowns
- Manage bank reporting and covenant compliance
Skills and experience required:
- Demonstrable track record in the real estate debt financing space
- Detailed experience of large scale bank facility ageements; debt; structured finance; and capital markets
- Well networked within the UK real estate lending space
- Experience working in a bank or private equity backed company an advantage
- Demonstrable ability to write credit reports to lenders / investors
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interpret and explain financial information to senior stakeholders
- Familiarity and comfort working with loan documentation
- A strong work ethic and tenacity to get the job done in a timely manner and to a high standard
