Fund Controller - 6m FTC
Salary: £65,000/yr - £80,000/yr +bonus
Fund Controller
A global real estate investment management company is experiencing a fast growth phase and is looking to onboard a contracted Fund Controller. The company has a track record spanning over three decades with over 20 billion of assets under management.
As a Fund Controller, you will be responsible for all management and financial accounting and reporting for all entities within their Funds/Mandates. You will also build and manage all key relationships including auditors, service providers and to provide local Finance support and advice to non-Finance colleagues and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- The coordination and preparation of the finance elements within the investor reporting, which could include monthly pricing and quarterly reporting.
- Support the financial side of transactions in conjunction with the rest of the team, the portfolio managers, Head of Treasury and Head of Tax.
- Financial representative for the fund for both the client services team and investors
- Manage the tax structure and tax reporting of the funds/mandates they are responsible for.
- Ensure the companies in the structure are appropriately managed.
- Inputting into and reviewing the corporate and tax assumptions within the Fund model.
- Seek to identify and recommend possible process and control improvements, which promote greater efficiency and/or accuracy, on an on-going basis.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate strong inter-personal skills
- Qualified accountant (CAANZ).
- Strong educational background.
- Advanced Excel skills and competence with other Microsoft Office packages.
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of local corporate and VAT taxation requirements.
- Knowledge of, and experience of working with, property investments is helpful.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Self starter with a proactive attitude and be able to demonstrate this during interview.
- Staff management experience and a team player.
