Senior Finance Business Partner

Salary: £70,000/yr - £75,000/yr

One of the UK’s most prestigious property companies with a portfolio consisting of office, commercial, residential, retail, F&B is looking to onboard a Senior Finance Business Partner for a 12 month FTC.

The business has seen phenomenal growth over the last few years and is responsible for the development of some of the most well-known destinations across London. The business is well backed by a global investment manager with continued plans to expand the business’s property portfolio.

As Senior Finance Business Partner, your role is a key bridge between finance and non-finance departments across the business. You will have sound technical accounting knowledge and the ability to communicate confidently with multiple stakeholders, including the CEO, CFO and Managing Directors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Finance business partner with multiple budget holders for their respective departments, including regular liaison to ensure up to date understanding of their performance as well as budget vs actual cost positions.
  • Drive production of annual budget/re-forecasts, annual and 5-year business plan, and related analysis/insights alongside respective segment budget holders and supporting their teams as required.
  • Review respective segment actuals compared to budget/re-forecasts produced, and provide clear and concise commentary on variances, as well as high level top-line commentary for inclusion in management information presentations.
  • Directly manage the part qualified Finance Business Partner and review analysis and reporting produced.
  • Support the collection and dissemination of periodic reporting to the ExCo, senior management and shareholders.
  • Contribute to finance systems discussions as related to the respective segment(s), with a focus on efficiency and automation of key analysis.

Key requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with c2-5 years post qualified experience
  • Strong accounting background with technical understanding of double entry bookkeeping, general ledger, P&L and intercompany transactions
  • Strong excel and “big data” management skills
  • Able to build strong relationships with finance & non-finance individuals and have the confidence to challenge assumptions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Very organised with exceptional time management skills – able to work under pressure, prioritising and meet competing deadlines
  • Experience of Yardi and/or Anaplan would be a plus.
  • Management experience is preferred
