Head of Operational Finance
A FTSE listed Commercial Real Estate business require a senior finance leader to join the team to be a collaborative business partner developing a strong working relationship between the Real Estate Investment Management team and wider finance.
The business is structured as a Real Estate Investment Trust and manages arguably one of the best, and most valuable, prime Central London portfolios consisiting office, retail, leisure, residential and food & beverage.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong, open relationships with all internal (Real Estate Investment Management team) and external stakeholders to ensure the finance function delivers robust, timely financial data for decision making
- Ensure a clear, seamless flow of information between REIM and finance teams
- Manage the outsourced finance team and identify and implement efficiencies where appropriate
- Take a lead role in all areas of operational finance for the business, including:
- Support scenario planning for acquisitions, asset management, leasing transactions by providing decision making information for and oversight of approval papers
- Lead the design, content and review of monthly and quarterly management information including the IFRS accounting for income, non-recoverable costs and service charge including detailed variance analysis versus budget
- Ensure all operational metrics on arrears, service charge, deposits, and billings are kept up to date across the portfolio
- Advise and guide stakeholders on appropriate accounting treatment for proposed transactions
- Lead reporting to joint venture partners and relationship management
Candidate:
- Excellent Microsoft knowledge with a high level of Excel skills
- IFRS experience & team management (required)
- Previous experience within a management accounting team
- Previous use of Unit 4 Agresso and MRI Horizon (advantage)
- Previous experience within the property industry (required)
